Are you one of Croydon’s Tenisonians?
The search is on… not for an apprentice this time, but for anyone who in the past attended Archbishop Tenison’s Church of England High School.
In May 2014 the school celebrated 300 years since its foundation in Croydon by Thomas Tenison, in his last year as Archbishop of Canterbury. To mark this great occasion the school established a new association of old pupils, ‘Croydon Tenisonians’, emphasising the school’s Croydon base.
A full history of the school, written by Croydon’s David Smith, was published in March 2014 and was launched with a special Tercentenary exhibition at Fairfield Halls.
The aims of Croydon Tenisonans are:
• to build and maintain a register of Croydon Tenisonians
• to encourage communication between Croydon Tenisonians and the school
• to keep Croydon Tenisonians abreast of developments at the school and promote the interests of the school
• to provide the forum and opportunities for Croydon Tenisonians to assist the school
