The Development Trust is the charity supporting Archbishop Tenison's Church of England High School in Croydon. It provides the 10% that we have to pay towards all building work, in common with all Church Schools, and covers the annual property maintenance subscription payable to Southwark Diocese.
The Development Trust also goes much further in supporting refurbishment and ambitious plans such as the Sports Hall campaign. The Music Room with recording studio, the Design and Technology Suite, the IT in the Art room, the Food Technology lab, and the Sixth Form Centre have all been built using funds raised by the Development Trust.
Our Sports Hall was completed in 2017, a hugely ambitious project for us, which was only part-funded by a grant. We finished the build phase in September 2017, a remarkably exciting achievement, and recently completed the advanced floor allowing us to play a more varied range of sports. However, we continue to need your help to "Finish the Job" in providing changing rooms, landscaping, storage and equipment.
The bulk of the income to the Development Trust is from regular donations made by parents and carers. We are also open to one-off donations paid directly into our account. We work to ensure that we claim the maximum possible amount of gift aid by getting eligible donors to provide the necessary information.
